The Awesome Humane Tech list is a collection of mostly open-source projects that are directly related to Humane Tech topics. It includes links to software projects for privacy protection, mindfulness, health, alternative social media platforms, and much more! The list is made available in the public domain and anyone can suggest projects for inclusion.
“Humane Tech” is a term which originates with the Center for Humane Technology, co-founded by Tristan Harris, a former design ethicist at Google. The Center for Humane Technology is tackling the problem of addicting technology which does not respect the time and attention of end users.
The Awesome Humane Tech list is maintained by the associated Humane Tech Community, a bottom up organization which supports the goals of the Center of Humane Technology. You can get involved in their active forum!
